How often do we hear one of these lines in conversations with friends:
"Where am I supposed to meet a single Catholic girl?"
"I've literally never been asked on a date by a Catholic man."
"I've been on CatholicMatch for ages with no good matches but a lifetime of awkward tales to share over a drink with friends."
Don't we all just wish there was a way for us to meet people in a casual way who are single, open to dating, and clear about their interest?
Enter our newest event, "That's Amore!", open to all Catholic singles in the local young adult community. Upon being greeted at the Commons' door with a glass of finest Chardonnay or Merlot, you will have the chance to mingle with friends and new faces before settling at your pizza making station with two men and two women. After you have assembled your culinary creations with the help of your fellow chefs, we will load your dinner into the oven and our speed-dating portion will begin. Each couple will have six minutes to converse (with the option of using our bowl of conversation questions!) before the men will rotate around the room to the next woman. Once all couples have chatted and the pizzas have cooled, we will enjoy a few more pours and slices all to the tune of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
At the conclusion of the evening, in true speed-dating style, all participants will turn in their feedback sheets, letting us know who they would like to see again. We will then go about determining who has matched with each other (i.e. both parties have declared their interest in seeing each other again), and in the next week we will reach out to the men to invite them to follow up with the ladies for a date.
Thank you for your interest in "That's Amore"!
We have reached our capacity for this event, but please be on the lookout for the announcement of other speed-dating events in the near future!
