"And Jesus said to him, 'Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.'" Matthew: 8:20
Around the Parish and Community
We work directly with a number of local organizations who help house and furnish the living spaces of those in need in our community. These include:
St. Vincent De Paul: While SVDP assists the community in many ways, one of the largest ways that they serve is by providing rental assistance and utilities assistance. This prevents neighbors from losing their homes and becoming homeless (sometimes with family members). Volunteers speak directly with these individuals to assess their needs, conduct home visits, and provide them with the resources necessary. SVDP also collects furniture and household items for those who are in need.
New Life Furniture Bank: This organization provides new and gently used furniture and household items to families and inviduals in the Greater Cincinnati area who are leaving homelessness, escaping abuse and living in extreme poverty. Volunteers are welcomed to help assemble furniture in the wood shop, organize household items, and more.
Serenelli Project: The mission of this organization is specifically to provide a strong Catholic community to individuals returning from incarceration or who simply have a criminal history. Volunteers help to construct garden boxes, haul dirt, participate in builds, and more!
