Roger is a native of Norwood, Ohio and came to St. Cecilia parish in recent years after hearing homilies of Rev. Jamie Weber and Msgr. Lane. He was attracted by the enthusiasm in the parish and their strong defense of Catholic faith and religious liberty both publicly and in homilies. Roger is trained and practices as a marriage counselor and social worker in private practice for the past 19 years. He received his masters degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Social Work in 1991. He has been happily married to his wife Julie for the past 27 years, has 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren so far.
Roger is involved in the St. Cecilia parish life as a volunteer in several areas. He and his wife are currently catechists for the the
Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) and teach the 4th-6th grade class, he is a Eucharistic minister and lector, weekly Eucharistic adorer and past president of St. Cecilia boosters. He has also been a member of the Knights of Columbus for the past 15 years serving in several roles. Roger is what we call as 'revert' to the Catholic faith, having left his faith as a teenager and returning after meeting and marrying his wife, Julie. Roger is very interested in Catholic apologetics and hopes to influence our youth toward a stronger relationship with God and his Church.
