Deacon Nathan was ordained April 27, 2019. He grew up in Cincinnati before joining the Marine Corps for a tour as a crash rescue crew chief on a large airfield in the desert southwest. Returning home, after graduate studies in business and theology, he is now CFO at a local Catholic all-boys high school. He spent more than a decade in the St. Cecilia choir, while discerning his call to serve the parish and pastor in ordained ministry. He is married to Tricia and they have three children.
In addition to serving at Mass, he baptizes, solemnizes marriage, presides at funerals outside of Mass, leads the Liturgy of the Hours, adoration and benediction services. He also helps lead the parish men's ministry, prepares couples for marriage, and with his wife, is a mentor for engaged couples. He also serves as a men's mentor at a local pro-life pregnancy center. Deacon Nathan is able to offer prayer services and blessings for the sick and dying, for homes, offices, religious articles, and other occasions; and is available to anyone who needs someone to talk to, particularly about marriage, infertility, prayer life, and discerning God's will.
