"I was sick and you visited me..."
Matthew 25:36
The Elderly and Homebound Ministry provides social connection between the parish family and the one in need. This ministry, through volunteer effort, contacts parish members who reside in residences, nursing factilities, and other home situations. Ministry volunteers offer a listening ear and a comforting presence to those who are ill or homebound. The goal is to offer parishioners an encounter with one another to experience God's goodness and to continue the connection to the parish family.
Our scope includes home visits, reassuring phone calls, cards and letters, weekly bulletins, and delivering Holy Eucharist to those who ask. This final service allows for an opportunity to make God's presence immediate and real to the homebound parishioner through prayer and the reception of Communion.
