"Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink..." Matthew 25:34-35
Around the Parishes
Pancake Breakfast (St. Mary) Each year on the 4th Sunday of February, we host a pancake breakfast at St. Mary in the school cafeteria. 100% of the ticket sales and donations are given to Cincinnati hunger organizations. We are always looking for volunteers to serve. Contact Elizabeth Berkowitz at elizabethmberkowitz@gmail.com in early January if interested!
Thanksgiving Dinner (St. Cecilia) Approximately 600 meals are served to all who are in need of food or company for the holiday at St. Cecilia on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers are always needed to donate turkeys as well as as prepare, serve, and deliver meals! We typically start to put together our team in October; if interested, reach out to Dan at 513-478-0361.
In addition to our events, we also have two ministries which work very closely with feeding the hungry in our community. Click the tiles to learn more and join!
In addition to our two conferences of St. Vincent De Paul and community events, we also work directly with two local organizations that provide assistance to the surrounding regions in our family of parishes.
MEAC (Madisonville Education and Assistance Center): This center provides services to families in the Madisonville Community. Services include offering access to fresh food, financial assitance with housing and utilities, and guidance and support to navigate community resources.
Mercy Neighborhood Ministries: This organization serves the senior members of the Walnut Hills area. While offering a plethora of different resources, our family works closely with them by supporting their food pantry which is open to those suffering from food insecurity.
