    • Who we are

      Cub Scout Pack 146
Cub Scout Pack 146 is a family-centered program rooted in values that stand the test of time — do your best, be honest, and fulfill your duty to family, God, and country. Pack 146 has active Dens at every grade level from 1st through 5th grade, giving boys a place to grow, belong, and be challenged from the very beginning of their Scouting journey. Family involvement is at the heart of everything we do — parents and guardians are partners in their son's formation every step of the way.

      Boy Scout Troop 170
Boy Scout Troop 170 has a proud and storied history, first chartered in March of 1928. For nearly a century, Troop 170 has been shaping boys into men of character, faith, and service. The troop is open to all boys ages 10–18 and offers a rich program of outdoor adventure, leadership development, community service, and personal growth — all guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

    • Things to know

Values at the CoreFrom the very first Promise a Cub Scout makes — to do his best and do his duty to God — faith is woven into the fabric of Scouting. Both Pack 146 and Troop 170 are proud to operate from a foundation of values that align with our parish community: reverence, integrity, service, and a commitment to becoming the best version of oneself.

A Program for the Whole FamilyCub Scouts is designed to bring families together. Den meetings, pack campouts, pinewood derbies, and service projects are all opportunities for boys and their families to grow side by side. As boys advance into Boy Scouts, they take on greater independence and leadership — but the family bond built in those early years remains the foundation.

A Century of Forming Young MenWith roots going back to 1928, Troop 170 carries a legacy of excellence. Boys who join are stepping into a tradition of honor and brotherhood that has formed generations of men in this community. That history is something every Scout carries with him — and adds to.

Encourage Your Sons to Lead, Serve, and Grow Through ScoutingThe Scouting program develops the whole person through six core areas of growth:

      1. Character and Faith. The Scout Oath calls every boy to do his duty to God and to live by the Scout Law — trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. These are not just words; they are a way of life rooted in virtue.
      2. Leadership. From Den Chief to Eagle Scout, Scouting is rich with leadership opportunities. Boys learn to lead themselves before they lead others — developing responsibility, initiative, and servant-heartedness along the way.
      3. Outdoor Adventure. Camping, hiking, canoeing, and wilderness survival teach boys to embrace challenge, adapt to adversity, and find wonder in God's creation. These experiences build confidence that no classroom can replicate.
      4. Community and Brotherhood. Dens and troops create bonds that last a lifetime. Boys learn to work together, support one another, and show up for their community — reflecting the call to love and serve those around them.
      5. Citizenship. Through flag ceremonies, service projects, and civic engagement, Scouts develop a deep sense of patriotism and moral responsibility — understanding that they have both the privilege and the duty to contribute to something greater than themselves.
      6. Life Skills and Achievement. Merit badges and rank advancements give boys the opportunity to discover their interests, develop real-world skills, and experience the satisfaction of earned achievement. The Eagle Scout rank — Scouting's highest honor — is a testament to years of dedication, service, and growth.

    • With a program that grows with your son — from the early adventure of Cub Scouts through the challenge and brotherhood of Boy Scouts — he will be shaped year by year into a man of integrity, faith, and purpose, ready to lead and serve wherever life calls him.
