In just one month from tomorrow, tens of thousands of Catholics will gather in Indianapolis for the start of the 10th National Eucharistic Congress. Pilgrims who have collectively traversed over 6500 miles will arrive with our Lord and join countless other faithful for a four-day renewal of their Catholic faith and devotion to Christ in the most Blessed Sacrament. It will truly be an experience unlike any other, with beloved speakers such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Christ Stefanick, Jonathan Roumie, Sister Miriam James Hudlund, Bishop Barron, and Dr. Mary Healy making up only a portion of the experience. Much of this Congress will be live-streamed and viewable from home if you are not able to make the journey out to Lucas Field, and we will have more on how this will work in the coming weeks, but for the time being we want to guide you to some other incredible resources that have been designed for you as we embark on this final year of the National Eucharistic Revival. Perhaps one of the greatest resources we have here at the parish is the site FORMED. FORMED is often referred to as "Catholic Netflix" since it boasts a catalogue of over 8,000 different recorded podcasts, audiobooks, Bible studies, and films to aid in deepening your Catholic faith. The best part is that it is completely free for our parishioners when they sign up using either parish's zip code. Currently on this site, there is a section dedicated specifically to the Eucharistic Revival which features hours of films, conversations, Biblical exegeses, and other content designed for adults, children, and families. Maybe you find yourself struggling to understand where Catholics find their scriptural basis for believing the Eucharist is more than just a symbol but truly Jesus' Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. If so, you can explore Brant Pitre's Lectio Series "Eucharist". Or maybe you are seeking a source of revitalization as you approach the altar in Mass and would benefit from listening to conversations regarding the Church's many Eucharistic miracles. This section truly has something for everyone, and I encourage you to give it a peruse as we anticipate these final weeks leading up to the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and our 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indy.
